How to Update Your BlueParrott Firmware

Update Your BlueParrott Firmware Now! All It Takes is A Few Clicks!

So you had your premium quality headset from BlueParrott for a while when it suddenly starts to have some issues. Problems, like non-functioning buttons or features that have suddenly stopped working, have appeared. It may be time for a firmware update.
Before we get into it, make sure that you’ve downloaded the BlueParrott app on your phone.

Are you done downloading the app? Good. We can now proceed with the steps to update your BlueParrott headset’s firmware.
- Check if your BlueParrott headset and phone have at least 50% battery charge. This update may take anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes depending on the strength of your mobile or Wi-Fi network. Both your headset and phone will be unusable during the update.
- Once you have ensured that your batteries won’t die out on you, turn on your BlueParrott headset and pair it with your device.
- Open the BlueParrott App.
- Press the Menu icon on the top left corner.
- A prompt will appear asking you to confirm and start the update process. Take note that this will only appear if there is a new firmware available for your headset.
- Click on Yes to start the process.
- Once it’s done it will say that the update has been completed.
- Click on Done.
There you have it! Your BlueParrott headset is now up to date with the latest firmware. Remember that firmware updates help keep your device performing optimally so do check for new ones from time to time.

So, what you're gonna do is go ahead and download the BlueParrott app to your phone. Go ahead and launch the BlueParrott app and you may see an icon that has the word update. If it doesn't, give it a few seconds and it will show up. And it will push a notification to you that says you have a new firmware version available. And if you do, it may take about 40 minutes for it to go ahead and go through the entire process.
There we go, validating the upload. And once it's validated that package, it will go ahead and push it to the BlueParrott. Upgrade complete. Click on out of there. And you may get this "rebooting in progress." Don't unplug anything. Go ahead. Upgrade now is fully complete. You can double check it. It'll get an alert that'll say there is no more firmware update available. So you're good to go at that point.
Now, if you have any additional problems, you can go ahead and reach out to BlueParrott by email or by calling BlueParrott and they will get in touch with you and try to work through that point. It'd be a shame if you were not able to use all the buttons and functions on the BlueParrott and that's why I've created a video around this so that you know how to get the best usage of the device.
