Emily: Hilgartner Health and Wellness. We are a chiropractic and nutritionist office.

Malcom: How long have you been in business?

Michaela: 25 plus years.

Malcom: What was your biggest frustration with your old system?

Michaela: Probably the phone lines constantly going down.

Emily: I would say that not being able to answer calls and text messages from home.

Malcom: What has happened since switching to the new system?

Michaela: We're able to make more calls more directly to our patients from home. Even if our office is closed, we're able to still reach out to our patients without having to come into the office, without it being our own phone numbers that we're using, we're able to use that office number, even working from home.

Malcom: Has the new system improved the quality of life around work?

Emily: Yes. Yeah, we come in and it's way less stressful in the morning. So we've already taken care

of voicemails. Great.

Michaela: Less voicemail voicemails. Oh, and the fact that our patients are able to [00:01:00] text our main phone number. So we don't have to have two different systems to look in. That has been a huge help.

Malcom: How have your customers reacted to your new system?

Emily: I think a lot of our patients prefer texting over voicemail.

Michaela: I think we get a more direct response from a lot of our patients, especially if they're working and can't respond to us right away. When they've asked for a specific appointment time or a specific day, we're able to text them and they are able to answer us quicker than, if they're in a meeting, they can't walk outta their meeting or they can't leave their office to take a phone call.

They're able to respond to us quicker and having that main number, being the number that they're able to text us from it's less for them to think about too. It's not, oh, I can't text this number. I have to click on this contact in my phone. They can, click on Hilgartner Health and Wellness and text us immediately.

Malcom: What would you say to other businesses that are thinking of moving to the cloud?

Michaela: I think this is a great system, especially for a doctor's office or an office that has appointments, especially in Virginia. With weather, anywhere that has crazy weather especially coming up in the wintertime, it's gonna be a lot easier for us to not [00:02:00] have to come in and find our patient files and call each patient individually. We can work from home. We can pull up those phone numbers and make those calls if we're closed or if there's inclement weather. I think it's really gonna make it more efficient for us. A lot safer in that bad weather with everything being in the cloud, all our contacts, everything reachable, just even from our cell phones. Like we don't even have to be on our laptop.

And it's very easy to learn to how to use. Very easy to use. So any beginner with technology, anything like that, it's great.

Malcom: What was your experience with Global Teck and getting the system delivered to you?

Michaela: So delivered? It came pretty quick.

Emily: Yeah.

Michaela: We had it. We were ready to use it. For us, the switchover of our phone numbers from a phone carrier to RingCentral has been awesome. They were really helpful in getting that done, but they were really detailed in their explanations and getting us set up. We're not open five days a week. So we were able to set up just our specific hours and shut our phones off at a specific time.

Even if we're still in the off, we have our business hours and we have our times where, even though we're not here, our patients can still leave us messages. And they were really helpful in getting all of that set up and all our different lines too, with all the different extensions for our office manager, for our [00:03:00] doctors and then for our front desk itself.

Malcom: Would you recommend Global Teck and RingCentral to other friends or businesses?

Emily: Yes.

Michaela: I think Emily, being our main front desk receptionist, with our office manager not being here all the time, I think it's really helped her to be able to filter those calls. And it's helped us a lot more if there's a supplier or an insurance or anything that she can't answer that specifically needs to speak to an office manager. She's able to filter that and even being able to set those extra extension hours, even during the day has been so much help. I think it's really filtered out a lot of our phone calls and it's made our office more efficient so I definitely would recommend it to other businesses, to other offices especially larger offices that have multiple doctors or multiple destinations they need to send phone calls.
